Yes, you will need a subscription to the desktop version of Adobe Illustrator to follow the course curriculum beyond Week 1/Module 1 of the AI for Lasers course. 

Adobe offers a free 7-day trial of the desktop software for users who are interested in trying it out before committing to the monthly subscription cost.

AI for Lasers is for beginner to intermediate level laser owners (or future laser owners) who are looking to learn my design process from start to finish in Adobe Illustrator.

The Procreate Basics Mini Course is for beginner or inexperienced Procreate for iPad users who are looking to learn how to use the program to create raster artwork.

The AI for Lasers course contains six Modules, in its entirety. Students will receive same-day access to the Welcome Module and Module 1 at the time of purchase. The remaining five Modules will be released on a weekly basis, determined by enrollment day (e.g., if you enroll on a Friday, the remaining five Modules will be released on a weekly basis for the following five Fridays). 

The Procreate Basics Mini Course, which teaches students how to use the Procreate for iPad app, along with an Apple Pencil, to hand-draw and/or hand-letter their designs, contains 10 instructional sections to review the Procreate for iPad user interface plus seven additional tutorials to follow along with! Access to the Procreate Basics Mini Course, in its entirety, will be provided immediately following enrollment (same-day). 

You will need access to an iPad with the Procreate for iPad app installed, if you are a student enrolling in the Procreate Basics Mini Course. 

Students who are only enrolling in the AI for Lasers course do not need to have access to the Procreate app.

Yes, you will need access to an iPad and Apple Pencil, if you are a student enrolling in the Procreate Basics Mini Course. 

Students who are only enrolling in the AI for Lasers course do not need to have an iPad or Apple Pencil.

Note: For students enrolling in the Procreate Basics Mini Course, an off-brand/generic stylus can be used in place of an Apple Pencil, however, the "Pressure" function in Procreate will not work.  That feature is only supported by the 1st or 2nd Gen Apple Pencils.

While I am certain you are going to love this course and the content, I understand that my teaching style won't be for everyone... and that's okay!

If you realize during your review of Module 1 of AI for Lasers that the course isn't going to be your cup of tea, simply send an e-mail to [email protected] and we can work out a refund to your original payment method. 

Module 1 of AI for Lasers is entirely focused on the Adobe Illustrator User Interface, Tools, and Keyboard Shortcuts that will be used to create your own laser designs later in the course curriculum.  It will also give you a better idea of whether or not Adobe Illustrator is the program for you.

If you decide AI for Lasers is the course for you and you choose to proceed into Module 2 , you will no longer be entitled to a refund. All refund requests must be e-mailed to [email protected] by 12:00am on the 8th calendar day following the release of Module 1.

The Glowcreate® Course Bundle comes with the Procreate Basics Mini Course, LoBo Designs Procreate Brush Bundle, LoBo Designs Procreate Practice Guides, and exclusive access to the Glowcreate® Students & Graduates Facebook Group.

Enrollment in the AI for Lasers course includes Modules 1-6 of the AI for Lasers course curriculum.

The AI for Lasers course is based on the Desktop version of Adobe Illustrator on MacOS.

Windows OS tools/hotkeys will also be included, when discussed during in the Modules.

Maybe — but, I promise you, the simplicity of being able to follow a well-structured curriculum built by one of your peers who has been through ALL of the late-nights spirals just trying to figure out what certain "laser terms" are called, is well-worth the cost of these courses. I think I wasted a few hours back in 2019, just trying to figure out what a "knockout" was called... and then add the additional time it took me to find a tutorial that taught me to create a "laser version" of a knockout design... oof. 😬
